Ibanez SZR520 - natural, 2008
Only made for a few years, this Ibanez SZR520 (sometimes mis-labled N427 due to the compliance stamp getting top billing on the headstock) from 2008/09 is pretty rad. Super thick body, but not heavy, good looking top, nice sounding pickups - what else do you need? Not the typical form factor for Ibanez with string-through body and more traditional appointments. We're calling this one Very Good condition, showing some signs of use, but nothing crazy or structural. Black back shows some scratching and the neck heel has a small ding. Top, neck, fretboard, frets and hardware are all pretty darn clean. Includes a flimsy Ibanez gigbag.
Here's what the Ibanez wiki has to say:
The SZR520 is an SZR series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2008. It was produced in China.
The SZR520 features a flamed maple top on a mahogany body mated to a set-in mahogany neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with binding and pearloid dot position markers. Components include a pair of Ibanez NeoZ humbucking pickups and a Gibraltar III fixed bridge with through-body string routing.
The SZR720 is a similar model with a quilted maple top, abalone purfling and vine fretboard inlays; it is the only other model in the SZR series.
Both SZR models were discontinued after 2009.
