Talk about love at first strum. This 1981 Ovation UKII 1291 w/OHSC was impressive as soon as we opened the case, but it really stood out when played. The original twin-blade humbuckers each have a series/parallel switch to give you easy in/out of phase options, and sound really cool. The controls are conventional, with separate volume and tone controls for each pickup. This one also sports the Stereo out put (a la Ric-o-Sound) for those who want to run two amps! The huge bridge/tailpiece is meant to improve sustain, and seems to do the trick on this one, combined with the novel Urelite foam/cast aluminum-framed body. The bolt-on neck is mahogany with a bound Ebony fretboard and beautiful abalone inlays. And the fingerboard is great, especially if you dig wide/flat. Here in Excellent condition, with only a few very minor dings on the top, it also ships in original branded hardshell case. Score a great deal on this super underrated guitar!
