Fender Kurt Cobain Jaguar - 2019, w/Fender HSC
This Fender Kurt Cobain Jaguar from 2019 is officially my favorite Jag variant out there. Perfect combo of DiMarzio humbuckers, Jag slinkiness and super cool vibe. Here in Very Good condition, this one does show some play wear - most notably, a bigger spot of missing lacquer on the back lower curve. Other than that, a few nicks and dings here and there. Setup with D'Addario EXL110 with comfortable action and no major buzzing. All electronics function as they should and it includes a Very Good condition Fender hardshell case as well. No case candy, unfortunately. Just a really cool guitar, with some future collectibility likely.
Here's what Fender has to say:
Summary
Return to the dark intensity and huge guitar sounds of the grunge rock movement with the Kurt Cobain Jaguar, a new-looking version of the battered and highly unusual 1965 Jaguar that Cobain wielded during the heady early-'90s era when Nirvana ruled rock and led a musically stunning and culturally subversive movement. It authentically evokes the modified left-handed Jaguar that Cobain found secondhand and came to prize shortly after the recording of massive 1991 album Nevermind, complete with DiMarzio® humbucking pickups, special switching, exclusive in-case extras and more. Available in right- and left-handed versions.
