Gretsch Electromatic - Vintage 1953, w/period-correct HSC

Yowza! Check out this vintage 1953 Gretsch Electromatic (Electro II?). What a fun guitar, and the original pickups sound amazing. This one has seen some playing time over the years, but no breaks or obvious repairs except for possibly the fingerboard and top binding. We can't find ANY images of a Gretsch from that era (or any era) featuring double dots up the neck - and slightly wonky dots at that. So, we assume that (since these have no truss rod) that the fingerboard was replaced at some point in an effort to get it nice and playable. And it was a success, because the neck is bone straight and action is very comfortable. Bridge appears to be original, as well as tuners, bridge, knobs and electronics - but any specific questions, please ask and we'll do our best to verify. This one also includes a period correct or original Gretsch hardshell case in equally Good/Very Good vintage condition.

Please note: this is a consignment item and is sold as-is, no returns.

- Likely non-original fingerboard
- Replaced binding on top, back appears original
- Period-correct or original hardhshell case in Very Good condition
- Low action and proper neck relief - plays nice and sounds great
