Louis Electric KR12 Custom 1x12 combo - 40 watt Tweed Twin circuit

Here's one you don't see come available used very often - an Excellent condition Louis Electric KR12 Custom 1x12 combo. This thing really does nail a lot of different tones in a super classy combo. Designed in collaboration with some heavy-hitters, to say the least. Extremely clean, showing very few signs of use. Labeled "KR12 Custom" inside the cab, and dated 8/11/19, this one features 6L6 tubes instead of the standard EL34s. No footswitch included (footswitch can be used in one of the 4 inputs for gain boost - very cool!)

Please note: amplifiers are sold as-is, as-described, no returns.

Here's what Louis Electric has to say:

CLASSIC LATE 50’S TWEED INTO MID 60’S PLEXI. Based on 1959 Tweed Twin.

“Bottom Line: If you like the idea of an antique-looking combo that has you covered for everything from extremely clean to viciously distorted, you’ll love what the KR12 has to offer.”
– Guitar Player Magazine

The KR12 is an EL34-based, single 12″ combo. It is the result of Louis Rosano’s longstanding work with Hubert Sumlin and Keith Richards. The KR12’s four inputs offer different levels of gain from crisp, crunchy throatiness to a hefty vintage rock bark.

Based on the Louis Electric M12 used by Sumlin, the KR12 has several gain options and unmatched headroom, but preserves the warmth of a 1950’s and 1960’s vintage style amp. The KR12 has Volume and Master Volume controls, middle, treble, bass plus Presence. In addition, on all new KR12 models, the damping knob which adjusts the level of negative feedback will be placed on the top control panel. This is an excellent feature to have because most amplifiers only offer a fixed resistor in the feedback circuit which limits tone shaping.

The new KR12 offers a single-ended switch which provides the player to run the amp at 20 watts.
