This 1978 Guild D55 is a stellar example of a vintage Westerly-era Guild. It shows some play wear, but no major breaks or repairs. The frets have been leveled a number of times - likely one or two more levels left before a refret would be required. Also, the saddle has had some material removed over time to set the action. To go any lower (not needed at this time) would likely require a neck reset, but again - probably a good 5 years off from needing to do any major work. Sound and playability are off the charts. Very even tone across the spectrum, and just an easy player all around. Does have a pretty thin nut width and neck. Rated in Very Good vintage condition. Includes the original hardshell case, including the original owners manual!
