Here's a rare bird for ya' - a Vintage 1985 or 86 Ibanez Lonestar LS300 acoustic guitar. This was a short-lived series for Ibanez, made in Japan in the mid 80s. Serial indicates this is a 1985, though not entirely sure they made this model until 1986. They have been reissued, but, as one would expect, are not quite the same guitar as their vintage MIJ brethren. The neck on this thing is EXTREMELY comfortable - especially for players who want to switch seamlessly between acoustic and electric without sacrificing the feel and playability of their electric. It features a slimmed down neck shape, and the very distinct Ibanez 6-in-line headstock that looks like it came straight off an RG series electric! Literature from the era indicates a Nato back, sides and neck (a.k.a. Japanese mahogany) and a Spruce top with Rosewood fretboard. The nut width is just 1 2/3rd inches, as per that more electric feel. This one has been fully, PRO setup with new D'Addario 12s, including a new perfect fit/intonated bone saddle. Here in Excellent vintage condition with only the slightest signs of patina, this one plays and sounds great with nice, easy action all the way up the board. This one does not include a hardcase, but will ship tight either in a chipboard case or a padded gigbag - buyers choice.
