These late 80s Fender Strat plus guitars are too cool, and this Vintage 1988 Fender Strat Plus, sporting what I believe to be the Lipstick Red finish, is no exception. Loaded with Lace Sensor pickups, Wilkinson hardware and a quality Alder body, this thing is all Strat - with a slightly hot rodded feel thanks to the roller nut and two-point trem. The pickups, however, sound pretty classic in our opinion. This one does show some play wear - most notably the ding on the lower cutaway (pictured) that is through the wood, the typical hairline lacquer cracking at the neck pocket and a little bit of lacquer damage on the heal (also pictured) in addition to some dings on the back of the neck and general smudges/minimal scrapes through out. Generally, pretty clean for a 30+ year old guitar. Rated Very Good. Plays good up and down the neck with medium action. Buyer will likely want a setup to their specs, but this one is certainly good to go as-is. Includes a Fender hardshell case with some of the original marketing materials for this model. Case is period correct, but can't verify if it is original or not. Very cool guitar, priced right, especially considering the way prices seem to be skyrocketing for these lately!
