Here's a honey of Hummingbird - a Vintage mid-60s Gibson Hummingbird, dating to either 1965 or 1968 according to the serial number. (Numbers from that era can often be "inconclusive"). This one is in Good+ vintage condition, showing its fair share of nicks, dings, scratches, scruffs, checking and other play wear, but nothing that detracts from the top-notch playability. And boy, does this one play and sound extremely incredible.
It has very low and comfortable action all the way up the neck, but do note, the saddle is about as low as its going to go. Any future action adjustments would likely require removing material from the bridge (non-original, by the way). The bridge is also barely starting to lift on the top corner. Other than the bridge and an added unidentifiable under-saddle piezo, this one appears to be all original, including the classic pick guard, which is in good shape, starting to lift in one corner with one repaired crack near the soundhole. Structurally, this one is sound, with no major cracks, repairs, loose braces, etc. There does appear to be one lacquer crack beginning to form on the back near the heel, but luckily, it runs along the center brace, meaning it shouldn't get worse, and may not even go all the way through (we are unable to evaluate since it is hidden by the brace). Includes a non-original hardshell case.
PLEASE NOTE: This is a consignment item and is sold as-is, no returns.
