Check out this super rad vintage 60s Vox Tornado w/original chipboard case. Here in Good+ vintage condition - showing some significant lacquer cracking (FINISH ONLY, NOT WOOD CRACKS) but otherwise quite clean. Plays pretty good, and the pickup sounds great. Feels a lot like some of the Silvertone/Harmony/etc of this era. Fun little vintage guitar for the money.

The V247 Vox Tornado guitar was offered in the 1966 and 1967 North American Vox "It's Whats Happening" catalogs. The Vox Tornado was imported from Eko Musical Instruments of Recanati, Italy by Thomas Organ of Sepulveda CA, the US Vox distributor. It was sold solely in North America and made no appearances in European Vox catalogs. This semi-acoustic arch top guitar featured a single cutaway bound body and bound "f holes."
The 21 fret, 25½" scale bolt-on neck featured an adjustable truss rod, white binding and a zero fret. The neck was ~1?" wide at the nut and 2" wide at the 12th fret. The head stock was shaped to resemble the swirl of a tornado and was equipped with two strips of open gear tuner keys. A decal on the back of the head stock stated the guitar was "Made in Italy for Vox."
The ~3" deep arched body was ~15" across at the lower bout. It was offered in transparent red, transparent brown or sunburst. A floating white plastic pickguard featured the name of the guitar.
An individual single coil pickup with exposed pole pieces and matching white pickup ring was mounted near the neck. A pair of rotary controls adjusted volume and tone.
A non-compensating "straight edge" floating bridge rested on the surface of the body. The bridge provided two thumb wheel posts to adjust height. The Tornado also included a chrome plated trapeze tail piece.
The 1966 US Vox catalog described the V247 Tornado guitar as follows: "Six pole high frequency extended range pickup, bound top, back and f holes, adjustable bridge, tone and volume controls, floating pick guard."
